Malaysia’s Inclusion In Google Cloud Region Bodes Well For Awantec

In line with meeting the global and local demand for cloud services, Google Cloud Region in Malaysia will be a game changer in accelerating the digital transformation journey that Malaysia has embarked on. It is a major milestone for Malaysia to be included as one of the 12 in Asia Pacific for Google region.

Awantec, as Google Cloud’s exclusive Managed Service Provider (MSP) to the Government of Malaysia as well as Google Cloud, Authorised Training Partner (ATP), applauds this major investment by Google as this will empower Malaysia’s public sector to innovate and deliver critical new citizen-centric digital services at scale. Dato’ Syed Naqiz Shahabuddin, Chairman of Awantec said the expansion will strengthen the company’s proposition as an MSP and as authorised partner of Google Cloud in Malaysia.

He commended Google Cloud’s efforts to retain data sovereignty and boost digital transformation locally with emphasis on speed, security, and scalability. By having local cloud facilities, we will have stronger control over data under the protection of our laws and regulations. Furthermore, we expect the resourceful facilities will greatly reduce lag, allowing cloud-based services to run faster and steer clear of legal and regulatory complications.

This buildout will enhance Awantec’s capability in terms of delivering better customer experiences, in a quick and secure manner.
