NCT Group Commits to Its ESG Momentum

NCT Group today signed up with three new partners in preparation for its upcoming Selangor Smart Industrial Park (SSIP) project, in a quest to ensure a tech-forward and fully-equipped industrial park for its prospective investors,

The company signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with AGV Environment (AGVE) and Darco Water Systems (Darco) respectively, whereas a Collaboration Agreement was signed with PESTECH Energ (PESTECH).

“The MoUs and collaboration agreement will enable us to tap into the expertise of our partners to offer the best features while catering to the evolving industry needs. It is our commitment to ensure that SSIP is conducive and equipped with complete, future-ready infrastructure, utilities, and amenities to attract foreign and domestic investments with a view to long-term sustainable business operations.”D ato’ Sri Yap Ngan Choy, the Founder and Group Managing Director of NCT Group said.

With sustainability as the key driver of SSIP, NCT Group inked a MoU with AGV Environment to collaborate via their technical knowledge and best practices to jointly develop a sustainable eco-industrial park.

In addition, the MoU will provide an opportunity for both parties to create awareness and position SSIP as an eco-friendly development particularly for the State of Selangor.

“Evolving ESG practises necessitate customised sustainable solutions to support environmental stewardship, social equity, and moving toward Net Zero,” stated Datin Dr. Vijayalakshmi Samuel, CEO of AGV Environment.

“With our extensive experience in this area, we look forward to providing SSIP with uncompromised consulting and guidance that will best serve the needs of the community as a whole.”

The company has appointed Darco as its water and waste water specialist at SSIP to provide technical advice to NCT Group on matters relating to water and waste water management for SSIP. This will further complement NCT Group’s efforts to entice investors to SSIP given the readily available service in relation to works and maintenance for water and waste water management and treatment.

A collaboration agreement with PESTECH was signed to jointly drive decarbonisation ambitions of both parties to reduce industrial and commercial carbon footprint. The agreement will include the provision of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles at the SSIP.

“Our role is to ensure effective implementation and integration of sustainability strategies into SSIP,” said Vind Sidhu, Chief Executive Officer of PESTECH.
