Get Used To It, Charles King of England

King Charles III has been officially announced as Britain’s monarch said AP, in what seemed to be a ceremony filled with tradition and ancient customs.

With the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, Charles automatically becomes heir to the throne and King of England. His son William will also have his official title changed to Prince William.

For Commonwealth countries like Malaysia which only known the Queen, King Charles will be something new that needs a little getting used to. The last time England had a King was back in 1936 when George VI took the throne after his brother’s abdication.

Having handed the Kingdom to his daughter, Elizabeth, the Queen ruled over England for 70 years when she passed away at the age of 96.

Charles is the Queen’s eldest son and was married to Diana who crashed in a car accident, that led to a crisis at the palace with wild speculation swirling around the royal family.

Unlike his mother, Charles is more expressive and is a big advocate of the environment and climate change, he is often seen at events that promote environmental protection and saving the planet.
