Selangor Aviation Show Could Surpass RM1.7 Billion In Potential Business

The Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) 2022 which aims to make Selangor the regional hub for aviation has managed to generate RM1.7 billion in potential transactions value from 14 agreements inked throughout the three-day event.

State executive councillor for investment, industry, and trade Dato’ Teng Chang Khim said as the event continues until it is officially closed, the transaction value could increase higher as there will be more memorandum of understanding and memorandum of undertaking that will be signed.

“The value has far exceeded our expectation of RM700 million. The initial target itself has increased seven-fold from the RM100 million in transactions recorded last year,” he said after witnessing the MoU and MoA signing ceremony involving several local and international companies at the air show, here this morning.

Among the MoU signed today were between Aerovione Sdn Bhd and Czech Aviation Training Centre; the Malaysian Sports Aviation Federation and Persatuan Seniman Malaysia as well as MSAF and Aerospace Solutions Sdn Bhd.

Also in attendance was Invest Selangor Berhad (Invest Selangor) chief executive officer Dato’ Hasan Azhari Idris.

SAS 2022 is held from September 8 until 11. and it also features industry-specific talks and forums to share the latest information, knowledge, and news among the attendees as well as its visitors.

Participants also have a chance to get the latest updates and lookout for new business opportunities as well as build long-term relationships with other industry players.
