Citagold Executive Vice Chairman And Executive Director Resign

Citagold Executive Vice Chairman Tengku Dato Sri Uzir Tengku Ubaidillah and Executive Director Tengku Dato’ Indera Zubir Tengku Ubaidillah have resigned from the company’s board.

Uzir was first appointed as the executive chairman cum chief executive officer of Citaglobal in 2013. He was redesignated as executive chairman in 2017, when his brother Tengku Zubir became group chief executive officer. In 2020, Uzir was redesignated as executive vice chairman when Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr) Mohamad Norza Zakaria became the new executive chairman and president of Citaglobal Bhd on the same date.

Meanwhile, Tengku Zubir was appointed as the chief executive officer of Citaglobal on Nov 1, 2017. He resigned in 2020 as the group chief executive officer and was redesignated to the executive director on the event date.

In September Uzir disposed of 32.1 million shares, leaving him with a direct stake of 4.26 million shares or 0.4%. He continues to have 30 million or 2.8% in the Citaglobal Irredeemable Convertible Preference Shares. Zubir also disposed of 700,00 shares on Sep 20, leaving him with a direct stake of 2.07 million shares or a 0.2% stake.

The 32.1 million shares disposed of by Uzir were acquired by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who has now increased his stake in the company to 12.4% from 9%.
