Bursa Malaysia ended the Wednesday morning trading session in negative territory, the main index FBM KLCI ceded 5.98 points to 1,455.12 from Tuesday’s closing of 1,461.10.
In line with regional performance, and Wall Street’s performance overnight, KLCI dipped lower on profit-taking ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve’s rate decision on Wednesday.
Market breadth was negative as thin trading volume coupled with decliners outweighed gainers 497 to 219, while 374 counters were unchanged.
Whilst trading volume and value were 1.29 billion units and RM694.01 million, respectively.
Some of the top gainers of the morning session were Hextar Technologies, Harrisons Holdings, SFP Tech, Ayer Holdings, Dutch Lady, Nestle.
Whilst decliners were Petronas Dagangan, Rapid Synergy, Batu Kawan, MPI, F&N, Allianz.
