Face Masks No Longer Mandatory While On Planes Affective Immediately; Khairy

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that wearing a face mask is no longer mandatory when boarding an airplane. This new protocol will come into force immediately.

MOH, however, strongly encourages that the use of face masks continues to be practiced for the following groups of individuals:

  1. Individuals with symptoms such as fever, cough, and cold;
  2. High-risk individuals such as the elderly, people with chronic diseases, individuals with low immunity and pregnant mothers; and
  3. Individuals who travel with high-risk people such as the elderly and children.

However, the requirement to wear a face mask on an airplane is still subject to the conditions set by the country being visited.
