Bursa Malaysia ended the Wednesday morning trading session in red, which is in tandem with the performance of regional bourses and Wall Street’s lacklustre performance overnight.
The main index FBM KLCI fell 7.75 points to 1,403.12 from Tuesday’s closing of 1,410.87.
Market breadth was overwhelmingly negative with decliners outnumbered gainers 586 to 192, while 302 counters were unchanged.
Trading volume and value were at 1.14 billion units and RM902.77 million, respectively.
The FBM KLCI is traded in a bearish pattern as the index has charted lower-lows i.e. declining in nine consecutive trading days.
Some of the top gainers of the morning session were Dutch Lady Milk, PETRONAS Dagangan, Carlsberg Malaysia.
Whereas some of the top losers were PPB, F&N, New Hoong Fatt Holdings, Kotra Industries, Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia (Perstima).
