Asian Stocks Rallied Followed Positive Cue of Wall Street; HSI Surged 5.9%

Kuala Lumpur, Oct 5 (Wednesday) – Bursa Malaysia closed bullishly higher today in line with the bullish performance of regional bourses as well as performance of Wall Street overnight. The benchmark index FBM KLCI inched up 11.19 points or +0.79% to 1,420.55.

Asian bourses ended in bullishly positive note. The best performer goes to Hong Kong. HK’s Hang Seng index soared 5.9% at 18,087.97, buoyed by Hang Seng Tech index soared 7.54% higher. Meanwhile, Japan’s Nikkei 225 Index gained 0.48% to close at 27,120.53. Stock markets in Mainland China remain closed for the Golden Week holiday. South Korea’s Kospi rose 0.26% at 2,215.22 . According to official data released, Inflation in South Korea slowed slightly in September.

** 518 counters are gainers, 396 counters are unchanged, while 350 counters are losers.
