Big Win for APU with Appointment of Gopi Ganesalingam as Adjunct Professor (Industry)

The Asia-Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU) recently added another feather to its cap with the appointment of Gopi Ganesalingam (pic above) as Adjunct Professor of Industry.

APU is amongst Malaysia’s premier private universities, and is where a unique fusion of technology, innovation and creativity works effectively towards transforming students into highly competent, employable and future-proof professionals.

As a result of this appointment, the university would be periodically seeking Gopi’s advice and guidance on the planning and continuous improvement of the university’s industry engagement, teaching and research strategies.

He also serves as mentor to staff in further efforts to enhance APU’s research and development initiatives and industry linkages.

Gopi, who is also Senior Vice President and Head of Ecosystem Development at Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), is regarded as a thought leader within the local and regional tech industry, having built upon his strengths as a finance professional and an entrepreneur who has served in executive and board positions in the Asia Pacific region for the last 30 years.

At MDEC, Gopi is at the forefront of championing talented tech entrepreneurs and disruptors whilst growing and connecting the local tech ecosystem to be globally visible and competitive – powering the tech companies and the entrepreneurs to actualise their business vision.

Now with his appointment, APU is set to soar even higher and further enhance its reputation as an award-winning university. To date, the university has won over 400 prestigious awards at local and international levels.
