The program, which took place at the Yayasan Pembangunan Usahawan, Terengganu is in its third leg of the BizFrancais tour series in 2022 after Penang and Melaka and will continue in Perak and Sarawak in November and December this year. Since its introduction in 2019, Pernas has organised a series of 13 such programs in Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Kelantan, Langkawi, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak.

Pernas Acting Chief Executive Officer Mazlan Ibrahim said the two programs in Penang and Melaka, resulted in Pernas receiving a total potential funding application of RM18.7 million.

According to him, it is an effort to promote the franchise business as a whole with cooperation between Pernas, the State Government, Entrepreneurs’ Associations including NGOs, Government agencies and local authorities (PBT) in each targeted state.

“I hope that the participants will benefit from BizFrancais where Pernas is confident that the program — which covers every aspect of business from financing to business registration procedures — will be able to answer all questions and doubts of the participants regarding the franchise business,” he added.

Pernas had invited 11 exhibitors consisting of six (6) franchisors Marrybrown, Gpharmax, Dapur Mama, Akie Burger, Smart Reader and NorraRich, two para-franchisors Kunyek 2 and 1901, three (3) entrepreneurs Business In Transformation (BIT) Mekeria, Rollie Café and Suri who exhibited their business models and promoted their businesses to the participants through a “business pitching” session.
