The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested a government agency department head with the title ‘Datuk’ over alleged power abuse and corruption in connection of appointing a company to purchase vehicles in 2017.
He was nabbed at the MACC headquarters after he attended to give his statement in relation to the investigations. According to the graft busters, the procurement of the four vehicles worth RM290,000 was for a programme implemented by the government agency.
The case is currently being investigated under sections 17 and 23.
