FBM KLCI Gained 1% at Mid Day

Bursa Malaysia ended the Thursday’s morning trading session higher with the FBM KLCI climbed 14.26 points or 1.01% at 1,429.36, from Wednesday’s closing, 1,415.10.

The main index was lifted by banking stocks. The uptrend in banking stocks can be attributed to a better-than-expected special dividend by Affin Bank.

The market breadth was positive with gainers outweighed decliners 368 to 348, while 341 counters were unchanged.

Some of the top gainers of the morning session were Nestle, Hex Technologies Solution, Hong Leong Bank, Panasonic Manufacturing, Kuala Lumpur Kepong.

Whilst decliners were Ayer Holdings and Sam Engineering & Equipment.
