Amid cautious mood, Bursa Malaysia slid into mildly red region at midday with the FBM KLCI shed 2.6 points or 0.18% to 1,435.68 from Friday’s closing of 1,438.28.
At 9:00am, the main index opened higher by 2.9 points at 1,441.18 and traded in the range between 1,435.39 and 1,442.66 in the morning session.
Meanwhile market breadth was positive with gainers outweighed decliners 389 to 368, while 352 counters were unchanged.
Trading volume and value were registered at 1.62 billion units and RM762.32 million, respectively.
Gainers in the morning session were PPB, Heineken Malaysia, Kotra Industries, Hextar Technologies, Transocean Holdings.
Whilst decliners were Nestle Malaysia, PTERONAS Dagangan, KESM Industries, Tanco Holdings, Solution Group.
