MASSCI: SMEs Can Link To DDI And FDI’s With International Trade

The Malaysian Association of Sustainable Supply Chains and Innovation (MASSCI) is optimistic about Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz’s appointment as the Minister of International Trade & Industry and his statement in focusing trade as a robust key growth driver for Malaysia.

Datin Lorela Chia, President of MASSCI stated “We are unswerving in our support for Malaysia’s important Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) business community and encourage the sector to understand the benefits inherent in the very many trade agreements that Malaysia is committed to and prepare ourselves to compete globally”. She continued: “SMEs are the foundation of our society and a critical component for Malaysia’s growth agenda with international trade an important connector to the much needed Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and the various Domestic Direct Investment (DDI) schemes in our country.

MASSCI was formed with the goal of rebuilding disrupted global supply chains sustainably, paying attention to ESG
considerations, and creating social impact. A big part of our work is to help Malaysian SMEs understand and build the critical capacities required to prepare them for the global supply chain.”
