Sunview Awarded RM122 Million LSSPV Plant Contract By Nextenaga

Sunview Group Berhad has secured an RM122 million EPCC contract from Nextenaga Sdn. Bhd., for the development of a 29.99 megawatt (“MWac”) large-scale solar photovoltaic (“LSSPV”) plant in Bukit Badong.

With this latest contract, the group’s unbilled order book balloons to RM765.6 million and is set to be recognised over the next two financial years ending 31 March 2023 and FYE2024.

The LSSPV contract requires Sunview to design, engineer, procurement, construct, test, and commission solar energy generating facilities, Solar Power Producer interconnection facilities and SPP works as well as obtain necessary approvals for the EPCC project and interconnection facilities.

Works for the LSSPV plant are expected to commence end of 2022 and the scheduled completion by September 2023. The scheduled commercial operation date is the end of December 2023 which is subject to the execution of the supplementary power purchase agreement

CEO Ong Hang Ping said, “We are excited to be part of Nextenaga’s journey in the adoption of renewable energy and we will leverage our technical expertise to assist in the transition process.

Moving forward, Sunview is looking to tender for more EPCC of solar PV, biogas projects and participate in the latest Virtual Power Purchase Agreement with a total quota of 600 MWac as announced by the government.
