The newly minted Economic Minister has tweeted his agenda for the first week at the Ministry, and the list is just as impressive given it is only 5 days.
Rafizi Ramli, who took on the new Ministry after being a division under the Prime Minister’s Department will place a few items that will be prioritised.
Among them is getting to know the high-level officers at the Ministry who could be formerly at the Economic Planning Unit, formalising his team, and looking into areas in fixing the economy.
The Minister will also be studying in-depth the current economic condition and its impact on society while putting in place a 6-month plan for the Ministry. This is the first time a Minister has shared a clear calendar with the public on his plans.
Among the plans include 2 large-impact programs to be implemented soonest possible.
Looks like the Ministry is quickly getting into action and as with any economic programmes, the result can be instantaneous.
