Selangor redoubled its efforts to strengthen the prosperity of the multi-racial community and oppose actions that threaten unification and stability.
Dato’ Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said unity and harmony are the strongest foundations for achieving sustainable economic growth, political stability and social prosperity.
“We have never marginalized any race, ethnicity or religion in implementing policies because we are aware that Selangor is a place of various races and cultures.
“Therefore, any action that could undermine the unity of the people and the stability of the government must be avoided if we want to implement the development agenda sustainably,” he said.
He spoke to inaugurate the celebration of Christmas and the Selangor-level open house at the Civic Hall of the Petaling Jaya City Council here last night.
Attending with the wife of Dato’ Menteri Besar Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad, EXCO Tourism and Environment Hee Loy Sian besides entertaining more than 3,000 residents.
The ceremony was also graced with an interesting performance by violinist Dr Joanne Yeoh and the FGT Church Choir, GA611 Church, Roman Catholic Church and Kaya Band.
