With no flights to and from the Manila Airport, AirAsia has issued an advisory statement to passengers both leaving and taking flights from the Philippines.
As per advised by the Manila Airport Authority, all AirAsia flights to and from Manila were put on hold due to technical issues at Manila’s Air Navigation Facilities.
It said the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has addressed the issue and is now preparing for the resumption of flight operations as soon as possible.
The low-cost airline apologised for the inconvenience brought about by delays as a result of the situation. It advises passengers to stay inside the Terminals and wait for instructions from the airlines for the new timings of flight departures.
Passengers have been stranded at the airport since after midnight due to what the airport is calling a ‘technical glitch’.
