Bank Rakyat Extends Personal Financing-I Products Rate At 2.15% P.A. Till Jan 31, 2023

Bank Rakyat extends the offer period earnings rate as low as 2.15% per annum for its Personal Financing-i products until January 31, 2023.

Bank Rakyat in a statement today (Jan 3) said, this step was taken following the encouraging response from the public regarding the promotion rate which is much lower than the profit rate offered in the market currently.

This special rate which has been offered since 1 December 2022 is open to customers who subscribe to a new Personal Financing-i Bank Rakyat account which does not carry any minimum financing amount requirements.

In addition, the bank customers also have the opportunity to win over RM370,000 in prizes in the form of a Honda HRV, two Yamaha LC motorcycles and 10 units of iPhone 14 smartphones.

“With the offer of a lower rate, Bank Rakyat hopes to be able to help reduce the customer’s monthly instalment commitment, all at once increasing their personal cash flow as well as their spending and saving capacity,” the bank said.

At the same time, eligible government employees and government-linked companies (GLCs) also have the opportunity to enjoy the Credit Card-i promotion with rates being among the lowest in the market of between 8% per annum depending on the customer’s monthly outstanding balance.

Among the main features of the Kredit-i Card offered are no annual fees, no additional rates levied for overseas transactions involving foreign currency exchange and free takaful protection for the amount of the remaining balance for the, subject to the amount amount outstanding for the year.
