Bursa Malaysia ended Wednesday morning trading session almost flattish with the bell-weathered index FBM KLCI declined 0.7 point or -0.05% at 1,473.29 as compared to yesterday’s close of 1,473.99
The main index was seen as consolidating in range bound as investors are staying on the sidelines. The bulls and bears of the index are influenced by the bargain-hunting activities of undervalued stocks and jittery over the Covid-19 sub-variants continue to weigh on investor sentiment.
At 9:00 am, the index opened lower at 1,472.85.
During the morning trading session, the index was traded in the range of 1,470.59 – 1,476.14.
Top five active counters for the morning session were Hong Seng Consolidated, L&P Global, Advance Synergy, Cypark Resources, Citaglobal
Top five gainers were Ajinomoto Malaysia, SAM Engineering & Equipment, Nestle Malaysia, UMW Holdings, Batu Kawan.
Whilst top five decliners were PETRONAS Chemicals, Heineken Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur Kepong, Khind Holdings.
