Bank Muamalat Has Its 68th Branch Operating in Indera Mahkota, Pahang

Bank Muamalat has opened its fifth branch, the latest in Pahang.

Nationwide, the latest branch in Pahang is also Bank Muamalat’s 68th branch.

“This location was chosen because it is a strategic area close to the new administrative centre of Pahang consisting of thriving commercial and residential areas,” President and CEO Khairul Kamarudin said.

“The bank branch will provide its best service to cater for the ease and convenience of customers such as deposit and investment accounts, ArRahnu, and consumer investments such as gold and takaful in addition to home, personal and business financing,” he added.

“Bank Muamalat is also the official agent for Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad, zakat and Tabung Haji,” Khairul stressed.

“This branch started operations on Dec 9 and has received almost 300 new customers with a total business transaction of more than RM8 million,” he was quoted as saying at the opening ceremony of Bank Muamalat Indera Mahkota branch.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Pahang Investment, Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation executive councilor, Datuk Mohamad Nizar Mohd Najib.

In addition to Indera Mahkota, the bank also has branches in Bandar Mentakab, Bandar Temerloh, Kuantan, and Pekan.

According to Khairul, the bank has established strategic cooperation with the Pahang government through the Bank Muamalat iTEKAD support programme, which is the Pahang Micro Entrepreneur Financing Scheme 2022 (i-PUSH 2022) with an allocation of RM20 million by the state government.

The i-TEKAD and i-PUSH programme added value to the state government’s efforts in helping entrepreneurs through financial distribution assistance or micro-financing and training and halal certification advisory services for asnaf, B40 and SMEs.

“So far more than RM6 million has been approved and distributed to over 700 entrepreneurs in Pahang,” he remarked.
