GDB To Resume Work On 8 Conlay After Lifting Work Suspension Order

The 8 Conlay high-end condominium project which has been delayed due to payment issues will see resumption after the main contractor GDB announced that it will start work after receiving partial payment.

The group announced that its subsidiary Grand Dynamic Builders Sdn. Bhd., had lifted the suspension of works for the 8 Conlay Project on 9 January 2023. This was based on Damai City Sdn. Bhd.’s instruction issued to the Architect for the forthcoming issuance of the Architect’s Instruction of the PAM Contract. In view of this latest development, GDB will remobilise and recommence facade work for Tower A following the receipt of partial payment towards the outstanding sums.

The remobilisation and recommencement of construction work for the full scope of works under the 8 Conlay Project are scheduled for early April 2023, subject to the full settlement of the outstanding sums payable it said in a statement.

KSK is the project owner and has been embroiled in the saga that caused the delay of the project, the situation will be closely watched as Tower B was scheduled to be completed by the end 2023 according to statements by KSK in 2022.
