Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is in Brunei for a two-day official visit, making it the second official visit abroad since being appointed.
Scheduled to have an audience with the Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. the two leaders are expected to use the opportunity to assess the progress of ongoing cooperation, to further strengthen relations and cooperation, as well as to venture into new cooperation in common interest areas between the two countries.
During the visit, Anwar will also witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Malaysian Investment Development Authority and the Brunei Investment Agency.
Both countries are looking at establishing halal-related trade and other areas of mutual benefits.
