Digi.com Applies To Bursa For Name Change

Digi.com Berhad has applied to Bursa Malaysia to change its name to CelcomDigi Berhad in conformance with the company’s obligation under the share purchase agreement between the company and Axiata Group Berhad.

This is in relation to the merger between Celcom Axiata Berhad and Digi which the Board believes will give Digi.com a new corporate identity that better reflects as a merged entity.

The proposed name “CELCOMDIGI BERHAD” was approved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia and the reservation for the use of the proposed name is extended to 14 March 2023.

The Proposed Change of Name is subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Company at an Extraordinary General Meeting to be convened at a date to be announced later and if approved, the new name will take effect from the date of issuance of the Notice of Registration of New Name by the CCM to the Company.
