LRT Peak Hour Service Time Extended For Ampang And Sri Petaling

Peak-hour services for Light Rail Transit on the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line and the Kuala Lumpur Monorail Line have been extended from 6.30 am to 10.30 am compared to the original schedule of 7 am to 9.30 am and from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm instead of 5 pm to 7.30 pm.

According to a statement, operator Prasarana said the extension of the operation follows service interruption between the two stations of the LRT Bandaraya and Masjid Jamek due to alignment work on a bent track. The time extension is to allow convenience and comfort to users, in addition to allowing them to plan their journeys in advance to reduce congestion at several rail stations, particularly at the Masjid Jamek LRT interchange station and the Hang Tuah LRT Station.

In addition, Prasarana also informed that the number of free intermediate buses will be increased starting tomorrow for three routes with a frequency of 10 minutes depending on traffic conditions. The three routes are LRT route 9 involving Hang Tuah LRT – City LRT – Hang Tuah LRT (15 buses); LRT route 10 involving Masjid Jamek LRT – City LRT – Masjid Jamek LRT (9 buses); and LRT route 11 which is Sentul East LRT – City LRT – Sentul East LRT (10 buses).
