Standard Chartered Malaysia Launches Wealth Academy With INSEAD

Standard Chartered Malaysia launched Wealth Academy in partnership with INSEAD in a multi-year client engagement and wealth management global education programme for the Bank’s Relationship Managers and Wealth Specialists. The launch follows successful launches in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The Bank’s relationship teams will undergo an upskilling programme to nurture them to become future-ready advisors, providing timely, personalised, and high-quality wealth advice to clients. The full programme comprises a three-part journey – Diploma, Graduation and Masters – that is structured and yet offers flexibility to allow for the development of individual preferences and goals.

Sammeer, Head of Consumer, Private and Business Banking, Standard Chartered Malaysia said, “This partnership aims to strengthen the Bank’s strategic agenda to grow its Affluent banking business. As one of the leading wealth managers in Malaysia with a large global presence, Standard  Chartered is in a unique position to help our affluent clients grow and protect their wealth. We believe in investing in our people, as only a highly competent and experienced relationship team allows us to deliver a differentiated experience to our clients. We look forward to a successful  partnership with INSEAD as we continue to boost the capabilities of our Relationship Managers and  Wealth Specialists.”

Sameer Hasija, INSEAD Dean of Executive Education and Professor of Technology and  Operations Management said, “Our aim at INSEAD is to be the intellectual sparring partner organisations can rely on to upskill their employees, cultivate their curiosity and help nurture a  growth mindset. What we value above all else are long-term, strategic partnerships that evolve over time. Partnerships that help organisations navigate uncharted waters and provide their executives  with tools, skills and future-proof their knowledge to the benefit of not just themselves, but also their  clients.”

“Our partnership with Standard Chartered is a perfect example of the kind of relationship we seek to develop with organisations. Standard Chartered and INSEAD have worked together to launch and grow the SCB-INSEAD Wealth Academy and I am proud of what our two organisations have built together. Today, our partnership goes from strength to strength, as we continue to work together to evolve and deepen our relationship. I am very pleased of the role INSEAD Executive  Education has been able to play in this journey and I look forward to seeing where it goes next,” Sameer added.
