MAFS Minister Mohamad Sabu Conferred Datuk Seri Title

The Yang Di-Pertuan Agung has conferred the Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu with the award Seri Mahkota Wilayah which carries the title of Datuk Seri along with six other recipients at the awarding ceremony.

The other six recipients which is the Second Rank Honorary Degree, are Senior Deputy Chief Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Sollehuddin Alyubi Zakaria; Secretary General of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Isham Ishak; Malaysian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin; Air Force Deputy Commander Lt Gen Datuk Seri Muhamad Norazlan Aris; Orando Holdings Sdn Bhd Managing Director Datuk Seri Dr Eng Wei Chun and Amechanus Holdings Sdn Bhd Executive Director Datuk Seri Lawrence Yeo Chua Poh.

Meanwhile, 15 individuals were awarded Regional Crown Commanders (PMW) who carry the title of Datuk, including Sabah and Sarawak Affairs Division Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Toisin Gantor; Deputy Secretary General (Policy) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Datuk Azah Hanim Ahmad and Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim. Also awarded were InvestKL Chief Executive Officer Datuk Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli; Chief Executive Officer of KLCC Group (Holdings) Sdn Bhd Datuk Md Shah Mahmood; UMW Toyota Motor President Datuk K. Ravindran, UDA Holdings Sdn Bhd President Datuk Sr Mohd Salem Kailany and Radium Development Berhad Group Managing Director Datuk Gary Gan Kah Siong.

Several sportsmen also received PMW in recognition of their contribution to the country, namely former national football player Datuk Lim Teong Kim; former national bowling queen Datuk Shalin Zulkifli; bodybuilding athlete Datuk Mohd Syarul Azman Mahen Abdullah and former Malaysian Karate Federation Coaching Director Datuk P. Arivalagan.

At the ceremony, 16 individuals were awarded the Regional Champion (JMW); 19 awarded the Provincial Crown Knight (KMW); 15 were awarded Members of the Provincial Crown (AMW) and 92 individuals received the Provincial Crown Lap Medal (PPW)
