FBM KLCI Snapped 3-Day Losing Streak and Improved 0.13%

Bursa Malaysia finished off the Thursday morning trading session in mildly bullish note with the benchmark index FBM KLCI 1.95 points or +0.13% at 1,487.45.

At 9:00 am, the main index opened higher at 1,488.82 vis-a-vis yesterday’s close of 1,485.50.

During the morning trading session, the index was traded in the range of 1,485.90 – 1,493.21.

Meanwhile, on the broader market exhibited positive breadth with gainers outpaced decliners 559 to 327, while 389 counters were unchanged.

Trading volume and value were registered at 3.146 billion units and RM1.442 billion respectively.

Top five active counters for the morning session Borneo Oil, Hong Seng Consolidated, Velesto Energy, Sapura Energy, Perdana Petroleum.

Top five gainers were Heineken Malaysia, Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia, Vitrox Corp, British American Tobacco, Hextar Technologies Solutions.

Whilst top five decliners were Hap Seng Consolidated, Hong Leong Financial Group, Lotte Chemical Titan, PETRONAS Chemicals, Far East Holdings.
