PM Shares MADANI Logo And Explains Concept

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim shared the Malaysia Madani logo, the concept of which was introduced as an effort to steer and restore the country’s dignity and glory on the world stage.

Based on infographics uploaded on its Facebook and Twitter pages, the logo has a palm-like design and is based on the four colors of the Jalur Gemilang. The five fingers with red and white stripes highlighted in the logo are symbolic of Rukun Negara, the foundation of Malaysia’s ideology, while the blue circle of “palms” signifies unity, consensus and unity among Malaysians. In addition, the crescent moon is a symbol of Islam as the federal religion and is also used as one of the elements of the logo, in addition to the 14-pointed star that symbolizes unity among the 13 states and the Federal Territory.

The four colors used for the logo are blue, symbolizing national unity, inclusion and brotherhood; red (courage, identity and determination); yellow (values of tradition, culture and local wisdom; while white (nobility, purity of heart and pure desire). Anwar in the same post on Facebook said he proposed Madani Malaysia as the way forward for Malaysia and its people who are friendly to different races and cultures. “We are certainly trying to ensure that these values are mobilized and implemented in the best possible way,” he said. The concept, which was officially introduced on Jan 19, is based on six pillars, namely sustainability, innovation, creativity, respect, trust and courtesy.
