PR1MA Targets 4000 Residential Homes With GDV Of RM1.25 Billion For Penang

The Ministry of Local Government Development aims to provide more than 4,000 housing units with estimated value gross development (GDV) of RM1.25 billion in Penang within five years under the PR1MA affordable home project.

According to a press statement, PR1MA owns two plots of land in Penang with an area of ​​over 300 acres to be developed as a residential project and mixed development. This mixed development will be developed with features such as inclusive, safe, resilient, and livable.

Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Nazri bin Md. Shariff, Chief Executive Officer, and Member PR1MA Corporation said, “So far, there are three PR1MA projects in Penang with 3,867 units of residences namely Pauh Permai Residence, Bukit Gelugor Phase 1 Residence and Bukit Gelugor Residence Phase 2. Pauh Permai Residence with 1,017 units has been completed in September 2021 and received the Quality Assessment System certificate in Construction (QLASSIC) from CIDB with a high score of 74%. Bukit Gelugor Fasa Residence 2 is targeted for completion in the third quarter of 2025, while Bukit Gelugor Residence Phase 2 is targeted for completion in the third quarter of 2026.

In 2021, PR1MA Comm implemented the first phase of this initiative called JENDELA@PPR 1.0 involving the installation of a “wireless hotspot” at the common area in 36 PPR and benefiting about 150,000 its occupants. Through the #PR1MAKita Aspiration, PR1MA used its Corporate Social Responsibility allocation of RM1 million to implement the initiative. Next, the PR1MA Comm will be trusted to implement JENDELA@PPR 2.0 at 30 PPR involving nine states this will offer high-speed internet facilities (30Mbps) directly to 13,218 individual residential units.
