According to Transport Minister Anthony Loke, KLIA and klia2 would be renamed KLIA Terminal 1 and KLIA Terminal 2.
He adds that the Cabinet has agreed to this, adding that the measure intends to improve the airports’ marketability and efficacy.
According to him, the rebranding will also assist enhance rivalry with regional international airports.
Loke did not specify a timeline for the change but said it is part of a new Operating Agreement between the government and MAHB.
