The Selangor e-Tanah system, which was developed to improve the quality and efficiency of administration, is expected to be ready no later than August or September this year.
Selangor Land and Mines Director (PTGS). Dr Yusri Zakariah said the system is an electronic platform aimed at the modernisation of land office administration and management. “The development of this e-Land system is being done by contractors appointed by the federal government so this year is the last stage in terms of testing the system and in terms of implementation whether the end of this year is either August or September. “This is an expected date because in any case, we need to get approval from the minister first,” he said.
The e-Land system is one of the Governments projects that’s under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment which was developed for the purpose of modernising the administration and management of the land office. The implementation of the e-Land system is also to standardise land administration in the state based on legislation in force, in addition to reducing bureaucracy and improving transparency and integrity in land administration.
