Klang Valley Water Cut Only 20% Restored

The latest water supply disruption to face Klang Valley which has affected 55 areas in Klang and Shah Alam is now at 18.2 percent restoration after being shut since 10pm yesterday.

The state’s water management outfit, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd said it will begin to be distributed in stages to consumers’ premises once the water supply system is stabilised, and is expected to fully recover by 6am tomorrow.

“The recovery period differs from one area to another, according to the location and distance of consumers’ premises,” it said in a statement

Air Selangor yesterday said the restoratio could be completed by 6am today but it seems the burst pipes have yet to be fully fixed. The company also reminded consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear, before using it for daily consumption

“We hope consumers who have received their water supply will use it prudently, to ensure the recovery process in the other affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled,” it said.
