TNB Appoints MOF’s Datin Rashidah As Non Independent Director

Tenaga Nasional has confirmed the appointment of Datin Rashidah Mohd Sies as the group’s Non-Independent Director with immediate effect.

She started her career in 1989 in the Ministry of Finance, Investment Section, Finance Division, of which she was responsible for managing Government loans from the capital market.

In 1998, she was assigned to the Privatization Section, Finance Division, where she was responsible for coordinating privatization projects including the Putrajaya Development Project, projects and privatization of the Ministry of Transport (ie ERL and PTP) and the Ministry of Defense. She was then assigned to the MKD Section, BSPN to handle matters related to corporate issues of Government companies from various sectors and was directly involved in the rationalization and restructuring of the functions and roles of Bank Pembangunan dan Infrastruktur Malaysia Berhad including Bank Industri Malaysia Berhad. In 2009, she was assigned to the Economic Sector, BMKD to coordinate privatization projects as well as handle matters related to corporate issues of Government companies.

Among the positions that she held was as a Deputy Division Secretary, Commercial Sector, Government Investment Companies Division in 2016 and as Secretary Division of Government Investment Companies in 2018. She was also appointed as a Board Member of Agrobank, Perbadanan Nasional Berhad and Global Maritime Ventures Sdn Bhd. She is currently in the Board of Securities Commission Malaysia, TRX City Sdn Bhd, UDA Holdings Berhad and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).

Currently, YBhg Datin Rashidah is the Deputy Secretary General (Management) in the Ministry of Finance.
YBhg Datin Rashidah holds a Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), a Bachelor in Business Administration (Finance) from Idaho State University in 1986 and a Master in Business Administration from US International University California in 1987.
