Ringgit Opens Easier Against The Greenback

The ringgit opened marginally lower against the US dollar on Monday (May 8) as strong jobs data in the US eased worries over a recession there, spurring demand for the greenback.

At 9am, the local note eased to 4.4370/4450 versus the US dollar from last Friday’s closing rate of 4.4350/4400.
