Optimax Revenue Grows By 12% YoY To RM26.1 Million In Q1FYE2023

Optimax Holdings Berhad (OPTIMAX) recorded revenue earnings of RM26.1 million its first quarter results for the financial year ending 31 December 2023 (Q1FYE2023), an increase of 12% as compared to RM23.3 million in the preceding year’s corresponding quarter.

Correspondingly, profit before tax saw a 7% growth, coming in at RM4.6 million. The growth was a testament to OPTIMAX’s relentless efforts to drive awareness amongst the general public in regards to the importance of eyecare.

The rise was attributed to strong performance spearheaded by continued growth across all geographical segments.

The East Malaysia region stood out as the top-performing segment, posting an impressive revenue growth of 62% compared to Q1FYE2022. The Southern and Central regions also contributed to OPTIMAX’s overall uptick in revenue, with growth rates exceeding 10%. OPTIMAX ‘s strategic focus on expanding its presence across all regions in the country has indeed evidently paid off.

Optimax Holdings Berhad, founded in 1995 by Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Tan Boon Hock, provides eye specialist services and related products in Malaysia. The specialist centres offer a range of treatments relating to eye diseases, such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, conjunctivitis, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, pterygium, and other eye diseases and disorders.

It also provides refractive surgery, consultation and dispensary, oculoplastic surgery, and eye examination services. It serves international patients from Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, China, Hong Kong, and Japan. In addition, the company also markets its own brand of food products.
