Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur announced the appointment of Martin Schnider as its new General Manager.

With over 25 years of experience with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group encompassing six Mandarin Oriental Hotels, Schnider brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role along with his strategic vision and passion, which will further strengthen the hotel’s position as a premier destination for discerning travellers.

As General Manager, Schnider is renowned for focusing on excellence throughout the hotel in areas such as guest services, food and beverage, guest satisfaction, to maintain exceptional service and product quality. His leadership and commitment to fostering a culture of personalised service will further enhance the hotel’s reputation as one of Kuala Lumpur’s most distinguished addresses.

Prior to his appointment at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, Schnider served as the General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Doha, where he successfully spearheaded the hotel’s operations earning the hotel the honorary distinction of a Five-Star rating in the 62nd annual Forbes Travel Guide Five & Four-Star Awards in 2020, making it the only hotel in Doha to achieve this distinction.
