IHH Healthcare has announced the resignation of Chief Operating Officer Joe Sim who was a caretaker CEO of IHH Malaysia from June 2017 to December 2019, and was regarded as being instrumental in expanding IHH’s healthcare network and services in Malaysia and cementing the brand reputation of its Gleneagles and Pantai hospitals.
After being promoted to the role of Group COO on 1 January 2020, he strengthened and synergised the Group’s core operations, driving clinical, operational and service excellence across our global network of more than 80 hospitals in 10 countries.
“The Board and management of IHH are grateful to Joe Sim for his significant contributions in his time with us and wish him success as he returns to public service. Under his leadership, IHH emerged from COVID more operationally future-ready than before, especially in terms of clinical preparedness and digital agility.
The group has appointed Dr Prem Kumar Nair, who has been IHH Singapore CEO for the past three years, as IHH Group Chief Executive Officer. The board said that given his strong credentials and experience, supported by the professional and committed leadership team, it is confident that IHH will continue to execute the growth strategy and roadmap to Care.
