AFFIN Group’s President & Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, has been recognised for his exemplary work in sustainability by being awarded the prestigious ‘2023 World Sustainability Icon Leadership Lifetime Achievement
Award’ at the 2023 World Green & Sustainability Summit hosted by the World Green Organisation, the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), and the KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific.
The group said the award is a testament to Datuk Wan Razly’s steadfast commitment to professional excellence in the financial sector, coupled with his unwavering dedication to sustainability, innovation, and exceptional leadership. His visionary leadership has not only transformed AFFIN Group into a modern and progressive Bank but has also contributed significantly to the broader sustainability initiatives within the financial landscape.
Under his guidance, AFFIN Group embarked on a Metamorphosis journey from 2020 to 2022, marked by the Group’s rebranding and strategic initiatives such as the Affinity in Motion Transformation Plan. Currently, the Group is in its second phase of this transformational journey, pursuing the A25 Plan with the bold aspiration of becoming the ‘Most Creative Financial Institution in Malaysia’. These efforts have propelled AFFIN Group to the forefront of the financial industry, earning the Group recognition as one of the top three fastest-growing Malaysian brands by Brand Finance in 2022.

AFFIN Group has recently marked a significant achievement by surpassing RM100 billion in Total Assets. As of the first half of 2023, the assets are reported to be at RM100.9 billion, reflecting a remarkable 45% growth year-over-year from RM69.5 billion in 2020.
