Sime Darby Property Berhad (“Sime Darby Property” or “Group”) has recently reveal Putra Heights Community Park in Putra Heights, emphasising their commitment to urban biodiversity.
The completion of the Putra Heights Community Park marks a significant milestone to the Group’s efforts in providing environmental stewardship through preservation of ecosystem services.
The brand-new park, spanning 3.07561 hectares, is also a home to 442 trees from a variety of 30 species, half of which consist of endangered plant species recognised by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (“IUCN”). Fitted with solar LED garden lights, the park will be able to harness natural resources to generate energy.
The park is equipped with appropriate and safe facilities for children, senior citizens and people with disabilities. Constructed with inclusivity in mind, the park is built with a wheelchair-friendly pedestrian pathways with clear guides. Together with the Dato’s Sohimin, the official opening of Putra Heights community was witnessed by MBSJ Mayor, YBhg Dato’ Haji Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim and Kota Kemuning Assemblyman, YB Tuan Preakas Sampunathan, among other guests.
