“Simply Scandinavian” Cuisine By Chef Sayan Isaksson Returns To Mandarin Oriental, KL

Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur is set to delight their guests once again with its upcoming collaboration with Michelin-starred chef, Sayan Isaksson, from February 26 to March 3. Under the theme “Simply Scandinavian,” Chef Isaksson will serve the flavors of the Nordic region, showcasing his refined culinary style and palate.

Known as one of Sweden’s top chef, Chef Isaksson’s culinary approach revolves around blending diverse influences to craft unique dining experiences, with a particular emphasis on merging Japanese traditions with modern Scandinavian cuisine.

Currently serving as the head chef of Nour, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Sweden, Chef Isaksson expressed his excitement about returning to the kitchen of the Mandarin Grill, “My goal has always been to create a contemporary gastronomic experience that harmonises local, global, and natural elements. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to make an even greater impact than I did six years ago.” he said.

This collaboration marks Chef Isaksson’s return to the Mandarin Grill, following his achievement during the 30th Anniversary celebration of the global event, “Simply Scandinavian,” in 2018. Since then, Chef Isaksson has further honed his craft, promising to showcase the best of Scandinavian cuisine at the Mandarin Grill.

Guests can anticipate an exquisite dining experience with four different menus on offer, including two lunch menus and two dinner menus. Lunch set menus start at RM158 for the 2-course option and RM198 for the 3-course selection. Meanwhile, the dinner menu offers a full degustation experience with 5 or 8 courses priced at RM368 and RM398, respectively. Wine pairing options are also available, starting at RM158.
