Bank Muamalat Launches GEME 2.0 Campaign Offering RM360,000

Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (Bank Muamalat) announced the opportunity for its customers with the launch of the Gold Pawn, Win Gold 2.0 (GEME 2.0) campaign.

This initiative offers a remarkable total prize pool of RM360,000 to both existing and new patrons of its Islamic Pawn Broking service, Muamalat Pajak Gadai-i.

The prizes up for grabs include gold jewelry items valued at RM100,000 for the grand prize winner, RM75,000 worth of gold jewelry for the second-place recipient, and RM25,000 in gold jewelry for the third-place victor.

Additionally, as a gesture of gratitude to Muamalat Pajak Gadai-i customers, Bank Muamalat will reward 1 gram of Muamalat Gold Account-i (MG-i) to 50 lucky winners every month throughout the campaign duration, spanning from March 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, totaling 500 winners.

Bank Muamalat, President and Chief Executive Officer, Khairul Kamarudin, emphasised that Muamalat Pajak Gadai-i serves not only as a means to fulfill immediate cash needs for collateral but also as a vehicle for gold savings.

He highlighted that the profit rates imposed are based on the financing value rather than the value of the pledged gold, resulting in customers enjoying lower profit rates compared to other Islamic pawn broking providers.

In a bid to enhance customer convenience, Muamalat Pajak Gadai-i offers online re-pledging, eliminating the need for existing customers to physically visit branches for the process.

Instead, customers can simply contact Bank Muamalat, and the designated officer will facilitate the re-pledging procedure as agreed upon.

The launch of GEME 2.0 marks the second series involving Muamalat Pajak Gadai-i since its inception in March 2021.

With 68 Bank Muamalat branches nationwide participating in the campaign, the objective is to encourage more customers to leverage this service and seize the opportunity for rewarding returns.
