Bursa Malaysia Higher At Midday In Line With Regional Peers

Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session higher on Monday, in tandem with the positive performance of regional bourses, said an analyst. 

At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 4.13 points to 1,556.96, from Friday’s close of 1,552.83. 

The benchmark index, which opened 5.38 points weaker at 1,547.45, moved between 1,544.32 and 1,557.33 during the session. 

Market breadth was positive with gainers edging past decliners 449 to 440, while 462 counters were unchanged, 956 untraded and 22 others suspended.

Turnover amounted to 2.31 billion units, worth RM1.28 billion, Bernama reported.
