Kobay’s 3QFY24 PAT Jumps 78%

Kobay has today announced its third quarter results and nine-month financial results with the current quarter under review posting a revenue of RM87.8 million as compared to RM77.3 million recorded in the immediate preceding quarter.

This represented an increase of 13.6% quarter-on-quarter which the company said was largely driven by better performance by the manufacturing segment. 3QFY24 Revenue from the manufacturing segment rose 19.8% QoQ to RM56.1 million versus RM46.8 million in 2QFY24 on the back of uptick in sales especially within the high precision machined components and aerospace components business unit.

This led to improvement in profit margins where the manufacturing arm recorded a profit before tax QoQ growth of 61.4% to RM5.9 million vis-à-vis RM3.6 million in 2QFY24.

The top-line improvement was also reflected at the bottom-line. 3QFY24 profit after tax and non-controlling interest increased by 78.7% QoQ to RM5.5 million from RM3.1 million recorded in the immediate preceding quarter.

As for outlook, the company said it holds a positive long-term view fuelled by a growing emphasis on health, wellness and preventive care amongst the community.
