Singapore Tops Event Meeting Destinations; Shanghai Makes First Entry In Top 10

Cvent, a provider of meetings, events, and hospitality technology, has unveiled its 2024 lists of the Top Meeting Destinations and Top Meeting Hotels in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

These rankings, which also cover North America, Europe, and the Middle East & Africa, are based on sourcing activity through the Cvent Supplier Network, one of the world’s largest venue-sourcing platforms.

In 2023, more than $16 billion in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) business was sourced through Cvent’s online platforms.

The annual Cvent Top Lists have become essential resources for event organisers seeking premier hotels and destinations for their events. Details were shared during a live press conference at IMEX Frankfurt.

Cvent evaluated over 12,500 cities for its Top Meeting Destinations based on criteria such as total room nights booked, number of RFPs sent, total value of RFPs, and awarded meeting values. The Top Meeting Hotels were ranked based on factors including total RFPs, awarded RFPs, room nights, and market share.
