Former MOHR Sec Gen Tan Sri Zainal Appointed As Chairman Of National Wage Council

The Ministry of Human Resources has appointed Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Zainal Rahim Seman as Chairman of the National Wage Consultation Council (MPGN) starting May 1, 2024 until September 30, 2026.

especially involving the salary policy able to give added value to National Salary Consultation Council.

The National Wage Consultation Council functions as a body that acts on discussing issues regarding wages through negotiations based on the tripartite concept with the active involvement of government representatives, workers and employers. Currently the National Salary Consultation Technical Committee has been formed to carry out a review of the Minimum Wage Order 2022, the review will be finalised in the Council Meeting The upcoming National Wage Consultation.

MOHR said the appointment is expected to empower the Salary Consultation Council.
