MOHR To Offer TVET Studies For Diploma And Advance Levels

SPM graduates who are accepted into TVET programs can now apply for Islamic skill training loans provided by the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK), said The Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR) in a statement today (May 31). These loans are available for Skill Training Programs accredited by the Department of Skills Development (JPK) and registered with PTPK.

MOHR is advancing its commitment to developing a skilled workforce through its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs. These industry-oriented education and training programs, overseen by the Department of Human Resources (JTM), emphasize practical skills and industrial exposure.

TVET programs are available at the Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma levels, aimed at producing skilled and semi-skilled labor crucial for various industries. The programs adhere to recognized occupational standards, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for the job market.

There are 32 Human Resources Department Training Institutions nationwide, offering over 50 programs and 112 courses to school leavers. Candidates who have completed the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 can apply for TVET courses through the UP_TVET portal until June 11, 2024. SPM graduates can submit their applications via the UPU portal until June 9, 2024.
