Ringgit Opens Lower Against Greenback After U.S. Jobs Report Surprise

The ringgit opened lower against the US dollar on Monday, following the release of stronger-than-expected United States Nonfarm Payroll (NFP) data last Friday, which is anticipated to boost the greenback.

As of 9:06 a.m., the ringgit had weakened to 4.7150/7200 against the US dollar, compared to Friday’s close of 4.6900/6940.
