Resorts World Cruises Celebrates 2nd Anniversary With 3.3 Million Passengers On Board

Resorts World Cruises celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a special ‘Open House’ event aboard its cruise ships, Genting Dream and Resorts World One, in Singapore. The event, open to the public by registration, saw an overwhelming response with nearly 1,000 attendees. These included business and travel partners, local authorities, and regional media representatives.

Registered guests enjoyed the unique opportunity to experience the charm of both ships first-hand. They interacted with the ships’ friendly crew members and received special previews of onboard facilities, accommodations, entertainment, and various offerings. Guests also sampled a variety of delicious food and beverages.

This anniversary marks a significant milestone for Resorts World Cruises, which has welcomed close to 3.3 million passengers aboard the Genting Dream and Resorts World One to date. With homeports in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, and now Jakarta, the cruise line will soon add Keelung and Dubai as homeports in July and October, respectively. Both ships will continue to expand their footprint across Asia to over 30 destinations, including recent additions like Ho Chi Minh City, Con Son, Bangkok, Ko Samui, and Redang Island.

As part of the celebration, Resorts World Cruises introduced its new mascot, Pin Pin. Described as charming, friendly, and adventurous, Pin Pin loves to cruise, travel, discover new adventures, and meet new people. Guests at the event were the first to meet Pin Pin, who will regularly appear on both ships to introduce thrilling activities and exciting destinations. Additionally, the mascot will feature in online games on the Resorts World Cruises website, offering exciting prizes.

In conjunction with the celebration, Resorts World One joined Genting Dream in receiving its official OIC/SMIIC* Standard Halal-Friendly Cruise Ship certification. With both ships now certified, Muslim travelers can enjoy Halal cuisines and other Muslim-friendly services onboard.

Resorts World Cruises continues to receive international recognition for its exceptional services and offerings. The cruise line was awarded ‘Best Cruise Line’ in both the ‘Cuisine’ and ‘Entertainment’ categories at the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards for two consecutive years, 2022 and 2023. Recently, it also won ‘Best Cruise Line’ at the TTG Travel Awards 2023 and ‘Best Asian Cruise Line’ at Hong Kong’s Headline Daily No.1 Fun Travel Awards.

The excitement aboard the ‘Resorts Cruising at Sea’ ships continues throughout the year with attractive itineraries. The Genting Dream offers 2, 3, and 4-night cruises year-round from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (via Port Klang) to destinations including Penang and Phuket. Resorts World One will continue its 5-night cruises between Singapore and Jakarta, including a stopover in Kuala Lumpur until early July 2024. Starting July 12, Resorts World One will sail from Keelung and Kaohsiung with 2, 4, and 5-night cruises to Kyushu and Okinawa in Japan.
